It’s that time again – time for a new look for Mr Papa’s World. This time, it was necessitated by a simple fact that several features of the site were not working to them being outdated. I needed to either get them working or update the general appearance. Since it had been a while since a redesign, I opted for the latter.

Okay, Suzanne has finished her work on the photos from the first five days of our recent Transatlantic cruise from Rome, Italy to Fort Lauderdal, Fl on board the Celebrity Solstice. This was a fantastic cruise and I hope it shows in the pictures.

She still has another 8 or 9 days of photos to prep, but we hope to get them up here in the next week or two.

Another New Look

If its Fall again, it must be time to update the look of Mr Papa’s World. Upon arriving at the site now, you will obviously notice a big difference from the previous look. I have tried to update the site theme based upon my more recent usage of the site.

Instead of the light colors, its a bit darker now. And the twitter feed is more prominent. I have found myself making more tweets than posts these

My Poor Blog

New Dance Site Launched

New Photo Gallery Operational

Move To New Server Complete

Whew, I think the move to the new server is finally complete! I had some issues moving this time. My sites continue to gobble up bandwidth and I just keep running into issues with shared hosting, so I made the plunge on over to a Virtual Private Server (VPS). It took a bit more work and hand wringing to the get the configuration right than on the shared hosts.

Yes, you are at the right place. This is Mr Papa’s World. The look is just different. Recently, I have tired of the look here at Mr Papa’s World. The Almost Spring theme had been in use here since June 2006.

Today, I am happy to introduce the Papa Blues theme here at Mr Papa’s World. Its a pretty drastic departure from the previous theme. I really like it and hope that you do too.

Site Upgrades

Last night, I updated the base WordPress version that this blog runs on. I also updated many of the plugins, including the photo gallery, that I also run on this site. Hopefully, this won’t even be noticeable to my readers.

Cruise Talk Central Redesign

New Genealogy Site Live

As stated before, I usually my genealogy website primarily for the display of information. This new site is based on the TNG (The Next Generation) genealogy software. It seems to have a much nicer user interface and more sleeker look. Of course, I have massively tweaked the look for my taste.

158th Website Relaunched
