NutriSystem Diet Day 1 – Lunch
August 7, 2006
Just a quick update, but lunch was pretty good. Seems to have been enough food too. Lunch started with a prepackaged Chicken Stew with Barley. It was quite tastey. I do want to bring a few spices here to work so I can add some if desired. To the stew, I was able to add a whole wheat roll and some sliced Turkey lunch meat. On the side, I had some celery sticks and ranch dressing. I left lunch feeling satisfied.
I also got to throw in some more blueberries and cheese this afternoon for my snack. So far, food quantity is not an issue. I hope I say the same thing after dinner, because that would be where my primary concern would be.
NutriSystem Diet Day 1
August 7, 2006
Today is day one of my new NutriSystem diet that Suzanne has decided her and I are going to do. I wont post about it every day but wanted to run down how I fared on the diet for the first day.
Today, breakfast was actually more food than I normally eat in the morning. On the low carb diet, I was eating eggs, breakfast meat or a low carb bar. This morning I got to eat blueberries, a couple lemon poppysead muffins and a slice of cheese. I was supposed to also eat a low glycemic carb, but skipped that part since the other stuff was enough.
The blueberries were really good since I didnt eat too much fruit on the low carb diet. Cheese is just cheese but still enjoyable as I love cheese. The muffins were my first foray into the NutriSystem prepared food. They were actually pretty good. The only drawback was not being able to put butter on the muffins. Still, they certainly passed the food taste test.
I also packed up my lunch and afternoon snack. Again, it seemed like a lot of food. I think the hardest part will be the prepared food dinner.
Okay, back after lunch with another update.
