Cienega Fire Sweeps Through Star View

The Cienega fire swept through Star View estates in Sonoita, prompting evacuations with no time to collect belongings. Luckily the most of the occupied lots in the neighborhood had been mowed at the end of rainy season last year, so the firefighters were able to protect all the houses. This was a very scary close call.

Showstoppers Anaheim 2010

We have put up our gallery from the Showstopper Dance competition in Anaheim in July. Savannah earned two Platinum Trophy’s and had a dance Class with Dancing With the Stars Dancer Lacy Schwimmer. Suzanne earned Three Platinum trophies in Song & Dance, Folkloric Solo, and Folkloric Trio. Sean even came in late Friday to save the day for the Folklorico Group. We recently had a wonderful opportunity to have a mini family reunion with my Mother and Sisters in Michigan. With one sister living in Michigan, one living in Florida, myself living in Arizona and my Mother also in Florida, we don’t get to see each other often enough.

The kids really enjoyed the opportunity to spend some time with their Grammy, Aunts, Uncles and Cousins. One afternoon, we took the opportunity to snap a quick family portrait.

The Greenery of Sonoita

Here in Sonoita, AZ we are in full swing Monsoon season. The afternoon and evening Thunderstorms have been quite spectacular. The rainfall has been heavy. At times, you cant see 50 feet away from you its raining so hard.

The Monsoon season is nice because it also tends to cool down our 100+ degree temperatures that we soar to in the Summer. It also has the side effect of making the rolling hills of Sonoita quite green.

We took lots of pictures at the Alma Dolores International Dance Center performance for the annual Cinco de Mayo festivities at the Veterans Park in Sierra Vista. I have edited and posted them.

We found this picture of Suzanne at age 9 in an old album and couldn’t believe how much it looks like Savannah. We thought that Savannah looked like Grammy, but now we think she looks just like her mother if you compare these two pictures.

Sean’s Redecorated Room

Finally, Cloudcroft Trip Picutres Available

Celebrity Mercury Mexico Cruise Photos Uploaded

I have uploaded a batch of photos from our recent cruise on board the Celebrity Mercury to Mexico. This was our first major event since the purchase of the new camera, so hopefully, they have come out nice and everyone can enjoy them.
