Edward worked at US Rubber in Detroit. As a youngster he worked in the coal mines with Grandpa.He was known as a "coal breaker". And because of this job at the mines, his face had become "pitted" from the coal chips hitting his face. Grandpa moved Ed and the family out of PA and the coal mine industry in 1916 moving them to Detroit to seek imployment at the new automobile factory built by Henry Ford. Ed worked at US Rubber in Detroit, MI. He was a tire maker. Uncle Ed is buried at Woodmere Cemetary, Detroit, MI, Lot# 97, Section Crest Haven.
