The internet rumors concerning a yet, unannounced, but anticipated Halo 3 continue to swirl. With E3 coming up in May, I would expect some high value news.
However, this xbox.com forum post claims that Bungies next project isn’t even called Halo 3 though Master Chief plays a significant role. It’s an interesting read but only time will tell about it’s authenticity.
