Tonight, the family gathered for another family movie night. It’s one of our favorite things to do on the weekends. Personally, and I have said this many times, I would much rather gather for a nice movie in my theater room than go to a movie theater.
The movie of choice tonight was Night at the Museum. It’s a lighthearted comedy with a star studded cast. Ben Stiller is the main character who takes a job at the Museum of Natural History. At night, everything in the museum comes to life. Obviously, a far fetched story, but the cast pulls it off very nicely.
You won’t find yourself worrying about the believability. Instead, you will be engrossed in a very good movie. There are plenty of funny moments and you find yourself rooting for the cast. Speaking of the cast, it has a lot of familiar names. Robin Williams and Carla Gugino join Ben Stiller in lead roles. Dick Van Dyke, Mickey Rooney and Bill Cobbs are wonderful as the bad guys in the movie. Owen Wilson and Steve Coogan were wonderful as a Western dude and a Roman Cesar. There banter and interaction was one of the highlights of the movie.
If you haven’t yet seen Night at the Museum, I heartily recommend it. You will enjoy it. Suzanne asked the family which they enjoyed more, A Night at the Museum or the recently viewed Spiderman 3. Savannah and I easily voted for A Night at the Museum. Sean said it was a tie and Suzannne gave a slight edge to Spiderman 3. It’s definitely a nice family movie.
That is funny, we got the same movie (and Eragon) last night and will be watching night at the museum tonight.
