Happy Easter

Happy Easter to everyone! I hope yours is as pleasant as ours has been thus far.

We started the morning out with Easter Mass at one of our community members ranches. It was a wonderful ceremony held outside with the rolling hills and mountains as a backdrop. A cool breeze filled the air.

Afterwards, myself and a couple of the other guys in the community cooked a nice breakfast for everyone. We made pancakes and bacon, a Mexican egg casserole that was a big hit, some coffee cake and a bunch of fruit. It was a very nice community building event here in our rural community.

After breakfast, the we had an Easter Egg hunt for the kids. One of the parish members brought over one of their Alpacas for the kids to play with. It was quite a day.

Now, I am preparing to settle into my chair and enjoy the final round of the Masters before preparing another Easter feast later tonight for the family.

Happy Easter to everyone!

  1. HAPPY EASTER TO EVERYONE!!!! Sounds like you guys had a great day! We did too. We went out to Fort DeSoto and went fishing. Then we met the family for dinner. We ate out this year….yeah no dishes!!

  2. Sounds fun… What did you and Walt do about fishing in Alaska?

We don’t eat out that often…

  3. Happy Easter! The Mass and morning at the ranch sounds fabulous!

We enjoyed the Easter Vigil Saturday evening–the culmination of our months of preparation with our candidates for the Catholic Church. The RCIA learning months were beneficial to us as well as for our candidates.

The ceremoney was very impressive and long –but it didn’t seem that long because we were a part of it.

    Happy Easter!

  4. I guess I will be fishing with him in Ketchikan
