Okay, time for another one of my rare political leaning blogs, but I couldn’t ignore this one. As the title says, a recent study by the folks over at Live Science has found that conservatives are generally happier than liberals. Duh? I didn’t need a study to tell me that as its been quite obvious to me over the years of personal interactions with both.
According to the study, which was paid for by the National Science Foundation, researchers found that:
Regardless of marital status, income or church attendance, right-wing individuals reported greater life satisfaction and well-being than left-wingers, the new study found.
the study goes on to say:
The results support and further explain a Pew Research Center survey from 2006, in which 47 percent of conservative Republicans in the U.S. described themselves as “very happy,” while only 28 percent of liberal Democrats indicated such cheer.
Guess I will just go on being my happy self and enjoying life…
