We received some sad news yesterday, Suzanne’s 92 year old Grandmother, Mama Frances died. Her Uncle Lennie and his wife Jean were there. Lennie, who is a doctor, thinks it was a pulmonary embolism or a heart attack. But, when you are 92 years old it is really just old age and all the related medical conditions. She wasn’t in any pain and her daughter and son in law were right there with her.
Suzanne will obviously be attending the funeral, but the kids and I will not be. We are trying to figure out the best way to get Suzanne to Mobile for the funeral and maybe for some of the other related events. As usual when you are trying to make last minute travel plans, especially during a holiday time, tickets are quite expensive. Fares are quite a bit cheaper if she drives to Phoenix or even El Paso, but I think its kind of silly to do all that driving for a such a short trip. No sense making a hard trip any harder, but she wants to try to do this cheaply. I think I have her convinced to just fly out of Tucson and don’t worry about the cost.
We aren’t sure yet if Suzanne will go directly to Mobile or maybe to Dallas. With her dad still recovering from hip surgery, it is going to be difficult for him to get to Mobile, but he will definitely go. Suzanne may just fly to Dallas and then help her Mom with driving her Dad to Mobile.
Sorry to hear about your loss. My condolences to you and your family.
